Session 1: Body Theology*

Despite an almost exclusive focus on the soul in many churches, the Bible has much to say about the body and God’s redemptive plans for it. This address will examine the reasons for the church’s neglect of the body, then survey and summarize the Bible’s teaching about our bodies.

Session 2: Body Worship*

While the church may at times have neglected the body, our society has gone to the opposite extreme of worshipping the body, both the female and male body. “Body Worship” will explain this trend and propose ways in which we can view and use our bodies in a God-centered and worshipful way.

Session 3: Body Future*

As we look ahead, what can we expect to happen to our bodies in this world, in the intermediate state, and especially in the new heavens and the new earth? How should that future hope of the redemption of our bodies impact our present?
