The details for the 2012 have been confirmed and Dr. Derek Thomas (

http://rts.edu/Seminary/Faculty/bio.aspx?id=40) will be speaking on the theme “When the Storm Breaks: Suffering the Christian Life.” The lectures will provide an overview of the Book of Job.

1. Righteous Suffering: when bad things happen to good people

2. Easy explanations: is suffering always punishment?

3. Trusting God when the lights go out: submission to the Providence of God.

All sessions will be held at Woodgreen Presbyterian Church in Calgary. This conference is being organized by an inter-church conference committee. For more information, email Convenor Ray Pennings at rpennings@cardus.ca.

In the afternoon, there will be organized youth activities to be held at Tyndale Christian School, 18 Hart Estates Blvd. NE Calgary. This will be followed by a supper and evening session with Dr. Beeke on the subject of “Fighting Pride.“

This conference is being organized by an interchurch committee with representatives of the Canadian Reformed, Free Reformed, United Reformed and Woodgreen Presbyterian Churches in Calgary.
